WESTERN CAPE – On Saturday, 01 March 2025, members of Operation Shanela embarked on crime prevention operations and arrested suspects for the possession of unlicensed firearms and drugs. The members searched a premises in Shire Street, Extension 6, Mfuleni on Saturday night and arrested three suspects between 30 and 32 when they found a 9mm pistol with ammunition, 150 small packets containing crystal meth, 94,40 gram crystal meth, 23 small packets containing cocaine, six mandrax tablets, 39 half mandrax tablets, 98 quarter mandrax tablets and an undisclosed amount of cash in the house. The suspects face charges for the possession of a prohibited firearm and ammunition and the possession of drugs. They will appear in the Blue Downs Magistrates’ court on Monday. Ends
