GAUTENG – A man is expected to appear before Protea Magistrates’ court on 14 April 2025 after he was arrested for possession of unlicensed firearm. On 12 April 2025, Moroka Task team followed up on information which led them to the suspect in White City, Soweto. The suspect was found in possession of a firearm with a filled off serial number and was immediately arrested. The public is encouraged to continue working together with the police in the fight against crime by reporting any criminal activities on the Crime Stop Line at 08600 10111 or anonymously give tip-offs on MySAPS App which can be downloaded on any smartphone. All information received will be treated as strictly confidential. Ends
