Media Statement NELSPRUIT – A suspect, aged 23, was arrested for dealing in dagga on Monday, 07 April 2025, by members from the Proactive and Combat team during Operation Vala Umgodi in Mpumalanga. The team conducted an intelligence driven operation in Mountain View at Shabalala Trust near Hazyview. After receiving information about someone dealing in dagga in the area, the members proceeded to the said area, and upon arrival, they searched the house. It was during this time when they found a plastic bag full of dagga, weighing at about 0.758 grams with estimated value of about +/- R1500. The suspect was apprehended then charged for dealing in dagga. He is expected to appear at the Hazyview Magistrate’s Court soon, facing the said charges. Ends
