Media Statement KROONSTAD – A successful intelligence operation led to the arrest of a 40-year-old foreign national for possession of drugs in Kroonstad. On Thursday, 20 February 2025, at about 13:00, the Kroonstad K9 and Crime Intelligence received information about a male in possession of drugs at one of the flats around Kroonstad. The members followed the information and managed to arrest the suspect in possession of drugs. Police found crystal meth, CAT and cocaine with an estimated street value of R30 000. The drugs were confiscated and the suspect was arrested. The suspect will appear before the Kroonstad Magistrate’s Court on charges of possession of drugs soon.
