Media Statement KHOWA – On 29 March 2025, Khowa SAPS members conducting, Community Service Centre (CSC), duties responded to a complaint and arrested a 36-year-old suspect for charges of possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition. It is alleged that a complainant arrived at the CSC to report that her husband was threatening to kill her with a firearm and that he would thereafter flee the country. The members swiftly responded to the complaint and proceeded to the residence of the suspect at Old Location. On arrival at the suspect’s residence, police requested permission to search the house of which they were granted. Upon a thorough search, police recovered a shotgun, five 9mm pistol live rounds of ammunition and one round of a shotgun. The suspect was arrested on the spot and will appear before Khowa Magistrate’s Court on Monday 31 March 2025. Ends
