Suspect appear in court for the illegal possession of firearm

WESTERN CAPE – Vigilant members of Milnerton SAPS arrested an adult male in the early hours of Sunday morning, 04 August 2024, for the illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.  

The members were busy with patrols in Koeberg Road, Rugby, Milnerton when a driver disobeyed a red traffic light. They pulled the vehicle over and searched the driver and the vehicle. A 9mm pistol with ammunition was found under the front seat of the vehicle. The driver could not produce a firearm license to possess the firearm.

He will appear in the Cape Town Magistrates’ court once he had been charged.
