15 March 2025 – South African match official Cledwin Baloyi will officiate in the upcoming Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Morocco at the end of the month.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) confirmed that the assistant referee from Limpopo has made the final list of match officials who will officiate in the tournament from 30 March – 19 April 2025.
The South African Football Association (SAFA) National Referees Committee and the Referees Department congratulated Baloyi after making the list.
Baloyi made the international list for the 2024 season and has been consistent in his performances in both local and international appointments.
South African Football Association (SAFA) President Dr Danny Jordaan applauded Baloyi after the recognition. “Baloyi joins the growing list of officials who continue to fly the country’s flag high. I am pleased to congratulate him and may he have a great tournament in Morocco,” said the SAFA President.
