Mopani District police has opened an inquest case following an untimely death of a Six year old girl at Nkuzane village in Hlanganani policing area ( Limpopo Province) on Friday.
It is alleged that a group of children were playing outside a yard when the victim suddenly disappeared from them.
Before reporting the matter to the police, community members conducted a search and later discovered the young girl floating in a toilet pit.
Police say she was rushed to the hospital and dead upon arrival.
Meanwhile, the Acting provincial police commissioner Major General Jan Scheepers has warned parents to always keep an eye on their children to prevent similar related and regrettable incidents.
