After touring the world and sharing stages with some of South Africa and the continent’s most celebrated artists, singer Busisiwe Sibeko, popularly known as BusiGold, is ending 2025 on a high with a special year-end performance in Gauteng.
BusiGold has previously collaborated and performed alongside artists such as Simphiwe Dana, Nhlanhla Nciza, Sibongile Khumalo, Grammy Award winner Wouter Kellerman, the late Hip Hop Pantsula (HHP), and Angelique Kidjo.

In 2025, she released her EP titled Seasons, a fusion of Afro-soul, jazz, gospel, and mbaqanga, celebrating the sounds and musical heritage of the African continent.
She will wrap up the year with a ‘Soul Meets Gospel’ performance alongside Omega at the upmarket Soweto venue Disoufeng on Sunday, 28 December. The show will also feature Fan Madango and Brown Sugar.
Reflecting on the year, BusiGold said she pushed herself creatively, exploring new genres including amapiano, while remaining rooted in her authentic sound.
Born in the North West and raised in Zola, Soweto, BusiGold began singing in church before studying music at Central Johannesburg College. She won first place on the SABC 1 music competition Jam Alley and later participated in Coca-Cola Popstars and Idols.
She credits mentorship from the late Sibongile Khumalo and the experience gained from competitions for shaping her musical journey.
