Singer Babes Wodumo’s Sister Nondumiso Simelane Cries Out Over Financial Toll of Raising Children

Singer Babes Wodumo’s sister and Manager Nondumiso Simelane, has publicly opened up about her intense struggles and the heavy burden she carries while trying to raise and educate her children single-handedly.

Taking to social media, Nondumiso expressed deep distress over her current financial crisis, revealing that she has been left entirely responsible for all child-related expenses.

“I still ask myself what makes them not maintain [their children]. Not even one of them is trying; the weight is too heavy for me.”

She detailed that her daily expenses include school fees, clothing, lunch money, school excursions, and other basic necessities.

Nondumiso highlighted that she is funding her children’s education entirely on her own, without any adequate external support.

In her post, she explicitly named individuals she believes should be sharing the responsibility, calling on Sbahle Fortune Ngcobo, Sboniso Perez, Bafana Mavundla, and Nhlanhla Mabhodisa Mthembu to step up and help.

“I wasn’t alone when making them, for goodness’ sake,” she wrote, describing how exhausted the situation has left her.

Nondumiso painted a painful picture of her current financial state, writing: “I’m financially in a wheelchair, okudlula la [it’s worse than] ICU.”

She concluded by sharing that the ongoing strain has taken a massive toll on every aspect of her well-being: “I’m mentally, emotionally, physically & financially drained.”

Her vulnerable admission reflects the harsh reality that many parents face globally as they struggle to provide basic needs amidst the continuously rising cost of living.
