He was later readmitted due to persistent health concerns. His family has been actively involved in his care, and there have been concerns regarding the quality of treatment at the public hospital.
Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi visited Mashaba to check on his condition.
Mashaba is now recovering, with further updates on his health expected.
