Media Statement GILEAD – The SAPS Gilead in Waterberg district conducted a Safer Schools awareness campaign at Malebo Secondary School, on Wednesday, 13 March 2024, supported by SAPS members from various Provincial components. The unannounced school visit comprised of SAPS members jointly with relevant stakeholders conducting a school search. Several cellphones were confiscated and handed to the principal. The members also seized dangerous weapons, dagga, and cigarettes, which were found abandoned on the school premises. The learners were addressed by various stakeholders on issues pertaining to crime. A total of seven learners received new pair of school shoes from the main sponsor, Liberty. The following role players took part in the initiative:
