SAPS members with assistance from residents from Seshego arrest murder suspect following a video clip that went viral on social media platforms

POLOKWANE – Members of Seshego SAPS were informed about a murder complaint and on arrival at the hospital, the male person was certified dead. The deceased was found with stab wounds on his chest and right hand thumb.

Preliminary investigation reveals that the deceased was at a tavern at Mmotong Ga-Mabotja when he was stabbed and was transported with a private vehicle to the hospital.

The deceased was identified as Obakeng Mashile, aged 20, by his mother who was at the hospital. A case of murder was registered for further investigation.

It is reported that a video clip went viral on social media platforms where a 23-year-old suspect was arrested by members of Seshego with the assistance of residents.

The suspect will appear soon in the local Magistrate’s Court.
