Media Statement POLOKWANE – The Provincial Commissioner of SAPS in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe cautions the public about ongoing recruitment scams that promise prospective job seekers employment opportunities within SAPS in exchange for financial compensation. Anyone who has been a victim or has been approached by scammers soliciting money should contact the law enforcement authorities. Jobs in the South African Police Service is not for sale, therefore cannot be bought. “Community members should be aware that our recruitment and selection processes are transparent, merit-based and do not involve any payment at any level. As a result, we encourage all community members who have fallen victim to these scammers to come forward and report them to their local police station,” reiterated Lieutentenat General Hadebe.
