Media Statement POLOKWANE – The Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo SAPS, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, bids farewell to, Telecom Operator Principal Ms Susanna Jacoba Botha (63), who dedicated her 33 years’ at the SAPS. She joined the SAPS family in 1990 at Polokwane, appointed under the Public Service Act as a Provisioning Administration Clerk. Between 1990 and 1999, she worked at various units in Polokwane including at the Syndicate Fraud Unit, until she settled and excelled in her duties in 1999 when she was promoted to work as a Senior Telecom Operator at the Limpopo Provincial Office, Auxiliary Services. Her daily responsibilities were to cascade the internal and external calls to relevant SAPS offices across the province. In her line of duties, at the same office, she was lifted to another level of Principal Telecom Operator, the post she held until retirement. Her colleagues at the Auxiliary Services described her as down to earth, hands-on and with a friendly personality. On her last working day on 28 March 2024, her colleagues gathered in a special ceremony to celebrate with her for the long service she dedicated to the organisation. During the ceremony, our Telecom Operator Principal said she was excited as she was finally retiring. She thanked the organisation for trusting in her abilities and giving her an opportunity excel in her career. “This is an environment that I dedicated my precious 33 years’ of service with diligence and passion,” said Ms Susanna Jacoba Botha. “It is time to rest. It is a rare blessing to work until one reaches his or her retirement age. The SAPS appreciate each and every moment that you have shared with us, you have well completed your journey, congratulations,” remarked Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe. Ends
