Media Statement GQEBERHA – A dedicated group of detectives involved in the investigation into the murder of an employee at the Algoa Bus Company arrested one suspect (48) that will appear in the Gqeberha Magistrate’s court today. According to information gathered on the scene, the deceased Timothy Botha 53 arrived at his place of work at Perl Road, Korsten, at approximately 07:00. According to a guard on duty, he heard multiply gunshot being fired in the parking lot. He activated his panic alarm but did not see anything. When it was quiet, he found the deceased with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. During the investigation, the detectives gathered information and identified one of the suspects involved in the murder. The suspect was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday 23 October 2024, in Kwazakhele. The suspect will appear in the Gqeberha magistrate court today, 25 October 2024. The investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are expected.
