The South African Arts & Culture Youth Forum (SAACYF) has partnered with the National Arts Council (NAC) to launch the NAC PESP 6 Funding Help Desk. This initiative aims to provide professional support to artists and creative practitioners across South Africa, ensuring their funding applications are compliant and ready for submission before the deadline.

Lekgutsa Mbele, SAACYF National Organiser and Free State Provincial Chairperson, coordinated the launch in the Free State Province, which covers five districts. Mbele emphasized the importance of applying for the funding, highlighting its potential to create jobs and stimulate economic growth in the creative and cultural sectors. He encouraged artists to submit their applications before the closing date of October 9, 2025, and assured that SAACYF is committed to supporting artists in accessing this funding opportunity.

According to Mbele, securing funding can lead to increased creative output and innovation, job creation, and economic growth. He added that the success of local artists can inspire future generations, ensuring a thriving arts scene. By leveraging the knowledge gained from the help desk, artists can unlock new opportunities, drive creativity, and contribute to the community’s growth and development.
Mbele’s message emphasizes the significance of this funding opportunity for artists and the broader community. With SAACYF’s support, artists can tap into the funding available through the NAC PESP 6 program and make a meaningful impact in their communities.
