POLOKWANE – Seshego police in Capricorn District are searching for two suspects involved in an armed robbery and rape incidents that took place at Dikoting section Moletji, Mmotong on Thursday 16 May 2024 at about 17:30. Two women, aged 33 and 42, were threatened with firearm, taken to the bushes, and raped while were attending a prayer session in the open field. It is alleged that the victims were accompanied by their two children in the bushes for prayer services, when an unknown African male suddenly appeared and pointed them with firearm. He demanded cellphones, and robbed one child of a cellphone and an undisclosed amount of cash. He further instructed the victims to walk with him, leaving the children behind. He was later joined by another supect, and they then instructed the victims to undress themselves, and raped them. They fled the scene after that horrific ordeal The incident was reported to the police.
