As public calls develop for Police Minister Bheki Cele to be eliminated for his mishandling of a response to issues raised by Action Society director Ian Cameron over crime preventing, consultants on Wednesday stated President Cyril Ramaphosa was unlikely to take away him, due to ANC political dynamics.

Former public protector and University of Stellenbosch professor Thuli Madonsela, political analysts and a number one safety expert, largely noticed Cele’s response as inappropriate.

Undeterred, Cameron stated he would proceed to converse out on crime points till Cele successfully addressed group issues.

“The minister embarrassed himself as a result of I spoke about crimes which occurred on the bottom. I gained’t cease talking about these issues and I gained’t be silenced by somebody abusing police energy for political acquire.

“He showed his true colours and made himself look like a real dictator. He does not deserve to be in that office,” stated Cameron.

Describing his tirade as “an absolute disgrace”, Freedom Front Plus chief Dr Pieter Groenewald, stated: “Cele is not only losing control of himself, but also the police and the broader fight against crime.”

Dr Ntsikelelo Breakfast of Nelson Mandela University stated: “Cele is a crowd-puller in KwaZulu-Natal and, were it not for him, the president would not have made it. He won’t get rid of him.”

Independent safety expert Dr Johan Burger stated Cameron had authentic criticisms, however he was unnecessarily aggressive.
