Ramaphosa has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to work with all social partners, saying partnerships are a central part of resolving key issues plaguing the country.
The President says South Africa will present their experiences of cooperation across society in the country, and call for global companies to collaborate with governments, entrepreneurs and stakeholders in emerging markets to pursue sustainable and inclusive growth.
Davos
Meanwhile, Trump’s return to the White House is a key topic of discussion in Davos given he has promised to pursue ambitious shifts to US policy that will likely have wide-ranging impacts on the global economy. These include imposing steep tariffs on other major economies, reassessing long-held military and diplomatic alliances, reforming multilateral institutions, and rolling back an array of US regulations.
Trump is scheduled to address Davos participants via video link on Thursday.
Trump has promised to start signing on his first day as President, a series of executive orders to begin a complete restoration of America.
He has vowed that with him at the helm, the US decline is over. He has promised to declare a national emergency at the Southern border. The intention, he says, is to close down all the illegal entries into America and send back illegal and criminal aliens back home.
The US President has put priority on the country and its constitution, declaring that the federal government only recognises two sexes – male and female – a move that reverses protections for transgender people put in place under outgoing President Joe Biden.
