FREE STATE – A truck driver (36) and his assistant (31) were delivering bread at a tuck shop in K9 Section of Kutloanong, Odendaalsrus on the 03 April 2024 at about 08:30. They were approached by three unknown African males armed with knives. Undosclosed amount of cash was robbed and the suspects fled from the scene. The incident was reported to Kutloanong Satellite Police Station and the Acting Station Commander of Odendaalsrus, Lt Col TJ Phakoe mobilised resources to follow up every lead from residents of Kutloanong until the suspects were found at a house in K9 Kutloanong. The three suspects aged 27, 29 and 30 years were arrested for armed robbery. The manager of a bakery company from Welkom, Mr Lukas Kobuoe appreciated the quick response from the Police to arrest the suspects after the robbery was reported.
The suspects will appear soon in Odendaalsrus Magistrate Court.
