Britain and the world bade farewell to Queen Elizabeth II on 19 September 2022 at a historic state funeral in Westminster Abbey, in London. The service was adopted by the ceremonial journey of her coffin previous lots of of 1000’s of mourners to her remaining resting place at Windsor Castle.

The nation’s longest-serving monarch handed away aged 96 on Thursday 8 September at Balmoral Castle, Scotland, after 70 years on the throne.

‘Service, love and faith’: Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in pictures
The Queen’s coffin left Westminster Hall on Monday morning, the place remaining members of the general public had queued in a single day to see the monarch mendacity in state, based on Sky News. The coffin was carried on a gun carriage to Westminster Abbey in a procession which included the monarch’s kids.
After the majesty and pomp of her state funeral, the Royal Family celebrated a “life of service, love and faith” in an intimate ceremony on the St George’s Chapel, contained in the grounds of her beloved Windsor Castle. The Queen has been buried beside her husband, Prince Philip, who handed away on 9 April 2021.
