The corruption case against Pule Mabe, former African National Congress (ANC) national spokesperson, has been delayed once again, with the Johannesburg Commercial Crimes Court, sitting in Palm Ridge, postponing proceedings to 7 July 2025. Mabe, alongside six co-accused, including his wife Mmatlhekelo Mabe, appeared briefly on Tuesday, 17 June 2025, facing 16 counts of fraud, money laundering, and breaches of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA). The charges are linked to a R27 million tender awarded to Mabe’s company, Enviro Mobi, in 2017, aimed at supplying 200 three-wheeler motorbikes—locally known as tuk-tuks or karikis—to the City of Ekurhuleni for waste management.
