Media Statement POLOKWANE – The members of the Provincial Organised Crime Unit in Limpopo continue to sweep the streets of drugs following the arrest of a suspected drug dealer in Mokopane, during the Disruptive Operation conducted on Friday night, 12 July 2024. The 47-year-old foreign male suspect, driving in a silver Toyota Yaris with Gauteng registration, was apprehended while waiting to sell drugs in town. His vehicle was parked on the roadside when the members pounced on him. Upon inspection, they discovered sachets of crystal meth and Kat drugs as well as a firearm hidden inside the vehicle. The suspect claimed he left the license firearm at his residence around town.The team proceeded to the house where the firearm license was validated but the suspect did not possess a safe to keep it. As a result, the firearm was confiscated for further investigation , and the vehicle was seized as well. The suspect will appear before Mokopane Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 15 July 2024, for possession and dealing in drugs. The Police investigation continues. Ends
