NORTHERN CAPE – The Northern Cape Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Koliswa Otola together with the Pixely Ka-Seme District Commissioner, Major General Nomana Mtukushe and Provincial Heads led Festive Season Operations at a roadblock on the N1 in Colesberg. Similar operations including static roadblocks are executed on all National and secondary roads in all of the five districts namely Frances Baard, Namakwa, JTG , ZF Mgcawu and Pixely Ka-Seme and led by the respective District Commissioners and senior managers, focusing on road safety. SAPS members will be out in full force, saturating shopping malls and centres and hotspot areas in all corners of the province. Visits to liquor outlets, parks and entertainment facilities will be the order of the day. Lieutenant General Otola, reiterated that the police in the province have a adopted a zero tolerance approach and criminal activities will not tolerated. We will squeeze the space for criminals to operate. Ends
