Prince Gift Mdluli, a suspect in the murder of Lieutenant Colonel Piet Pretorius, has been apprehended.
Pretorius, the commander of the Vehicle Crime Investigation Unit in Ermelo, was fatally shot on January 16, 2024.
Mdluli’s arrest follows an extensive manhunt across KwaZulu-Natal, where he was last believed to be hiding. This development brings the total number of suspects arrested in connection with Pretorius’s murder to six.
The investigation continues as authorities work to bring all involved parties to justice.
