Pope Francis is set to make his first public appearance tomorrow, Sunday, March 23, 2025, since being hospitalized on February 14. The 88-year-old pontiff has been receiving treatment for double pneumonia at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital.
According to the Vatican, he will offer a greeting and blessing from a hospital window shortly after noon, following the Angelus prayer. This will be his first public sighting in over five weeks. While he will not personally deliver the prayer, the Vatican will distribute the written text of his reflection, continuing the practice followed during his recovery.
The pope’s condition has shown gradual improvement, though no discharge date has been confirmed.
