POLOKWANE – The Police in Thabazimbi, jointly with Koedoeskop farmers, recovered R500 000 worth of dagga and arrested two male Zimbabwean foreign nationals aged 25 and 39 following an intelligence led operation conducted at Koedoeskop area on Thursday, 13 February 2025 at around 10:00. According to information, the Police received leads and immediately activated an operation, resulting in suspects positively being spotted at the area, driving in a truck with two trailers. Upon approaching it, the driver of the vehicle together with a female passenger were stopped and vehicle searched. They found the trailers loaded with 106× small bags of dagga, 10× big bags of dagga and 02 × refuse bags of loose dagga. The dagga weigh+-148, 5 kg, and with a value of +- R500 000-00. A white Scania truck with two trailers utilised by the suspects were also seized. The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has welcomed the arrest and the recovery of the dagga. Two suspects will appear before the local Magistrate’s court soon facing a charge of possession and dealing in dagga. Police investigations are continuing. End
