Media Statement WESTERN CAPE – Vredendal Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS) is seeking the assistance of the public to locate the whereabouts of the man depicted in the attached facial composition as it is believed that he can help police with the investigation of an incident that occurred on Sunday 29 September 2024. Information reveals that a 15-year-old girl and her friend were walking in Chibini Street, George Karridge in Vredenburg at around 20:00 when two unknown males approached and robbed them of R20,00. The victim’s friend was chased away. The 15-year-old girl was then taken to Sink Street, George Karridge where one of the suspects raped her while the other one was pointing a firearm at her. The victim managed to escape from the two suspects. An appeal is hereby made to anyone who may have information regarding the man in the attached facial composition to please contact the investigating officer Sergeant Helendine May on 082 522 1011 or 022 714 8616/7.
