Media Statement CAPE TOWN – Actions to address the illegal possession of firearms which is a threat to communities in our province yielded success when members of the Anti-Gang Unit arrested a 33-year-old man for the possession of a prohibited firearm in Bellville-South on Monday afternoon. The members acted on information they received of a firearm at a premises in William Taylor Street and ensued with a search on arrival at the premises. They confiscated a 9mm pistol without a serial number with ammunition which was found in the house. The suspect will appear in the Bellville Magistrates’ court once charged on the mentioned charges.
