POTCHEFSTROOM – A Crime Intelligence led operation in Bloemhof resulted in the arrest of six suspects following separate searches of identified premises on Sunday morning, 22 December 2024, for being in possession of drugs and dealing in drugs. According to reports, search and seizure warrants were executed at five residences in Bloemhof town, Coverdale Extension 10 and Boitumelong Extension 4, by members of Bloemhof Crime Prevention Unit, Public Order Policing and the Anti-Gang Unit. The following persons were arrested as follows: 1. Stanley Abuchi (40) – Dealing in Drugs 2. Kedirileng Kgwebane (39) – Dealing in drugs 3. Chidi Emeodi (41) – Possession of drugs 4. Davidson Okorie (55) – Possession of drugs 5. Khayalethu Mothibi (28) – Possession of drugs 6. Victor Eytini Masiu (37) – Dealing in Drugs Police seized a variety of drugs, valued at R66 000.00. All six suspects appeared before the Bloemhof Magistrates Court today and were remanded in custody until their next court appearances before the same court on Friday, 27 December 2024 and Monday, 30 December 2024 respectively. Meanwhile, the Acting Provincial Police Commissioner, Major General Patrick Asaneng welcomed the arrests and seizures of the drugs, which forms part of Operation Festive Season successes. He said police will continue to work hard throughout this Festive Season. Ends
