NELSPRUIT – The Police in Vaalbank are investigating a murder case after the mysterious death of a man whose body was discovered in a public place In Vaalbank on Saturday, 29 March 2025 at about 11h20 am. The man is believed to be between the ages of 30 and 40. Though circumstances surrounding this incident remain unclear however, according to preliminary investigation by the Police, the victim’s body was found in a public space between Mmakometsane and Kameelrivier, along a Gravel Road near the edge of a river. The victim’s body had some visible injuries but sadly, he was certified dead by the Paramedics at the scene. During preliminary investigation, it was discovered that the victim could have been shot, as spent cartridges were found at the scene. The victim was wearing a grey long jeans and a short-sleeved black T-shirt. Police urge anyone with information that may assist in the investigation or in locating the victim’s family to contact Vaalbank SAPS at 013 973 9108 or Detective Warrant Officer Solomon Baloyi at 072 467 7846. Alternatively, members of the public can call the Crime Stop number at 08600 10111. All received information will be treated as confidential and callers may opt to remain anonymous. No arrests have been made at this stage, but Police are working tirelessly to ensure that perpetrators of this heinous crime are swiftly brought to book. Ends
