POLOKWANE – The Police Detectives in Malamulele are investigating an inquest case after an alleged suspect in a murder case of a 39-year-old teacher, was found hanging from a tree in the bushes at Xigalo village on Thursday, 31 October 2024 at around 14:30. Police were summoned to the scene together with Emergency Medical Services and on arrival; they found a man hanging from the tree. He was certified dead and identified as Luambo Nethonzhe (40) of Muraga village. Preliminary investigations established that the deceased was the suspect in a murder of a female teacher, who was his partner. In the murder incident, a lifeless body of a 39-year-old woman was found lying in a pool of blood at her residence, in Sasekani village in Basani, on Tuesday, 29 October 2024. The Police are investigating cases of murder and an inquest. Circumstances surrounding the incident are currently unknown, but the ongoing police investigations will determine. The Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo Police, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has condemned the incident, where vulnerable people are killed, particularly related to domestic violence issues. Couples are still encouraged to open up about their relationship problems to get the necessary assistance. Police investigations are continuing. Ends
