Media Statement POLOKWANE – The Police Detectives in Groblersdal FCS are investigating a case of rape perpetrated against a minor girl child aged 15, on Saturday, 18 May 2024, at Glen Cowie in Mathusand Section in Nebo policing precinct at around 19:00. According to information, the victim was coming from a wedding ceremony walking to her residence, when an unknown man accosted her at Matsumane Sport ground. The suspect came running, and he apparently grabbed the victim around her neck and threatened to kill her. He pushed her on the ground, undressed her, and raped her. Thereafter, fled from the scene. The victim reported the incident to her mother, and she was taken to hospital for medical treatment. Police were informed and opened a case of rape. The docket was transferred to Groblersdal Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit.
