Media Statement ODENDAALSRUS – Police urge the public to come forward with information as they continue with a rape investigation where a 16-year-old gilr was raped in January this year. The Police have launched a manhunt for an unknown man who raped a 16-year-old girl on Sunday, 21 January 2024 at about 04:15 at Block 1 Section next to Assemblies of God Church in Kutloanong. According to reports, the teen girl was with her two sisters on the way home from Block 4 section. They realized they were being followed by two unknown African males and one of them demanded a cellphone and responded she did not have it. She had a black plastic with lunch boxes which were taken by the suspects. The suspect wearing a black trouser and black t-shirt wanted to kiss her and she refused. The suspect then grabbed her by the neck and instructed that she must not make noise and threatened to stab her with a knife. Then she was undressed and raped. The suspect is dark in complexion, slender and 1,8 meters in height with a scar on the left cheek. He was wearing a black wool hat, black track top and black jeans.
