National police commissioner General Fannie Masemola and deputy national police commissioner for crime detection, Lieutenant General Shadrack Sibiya, are scheduled to meet the families of three missing constables who disappeared while traveling to Limpopo. Meetings with the investigative team handling the case are also planned.
The three constables — Boipelo Senoge (20), Cebekhulu Linda (24), and Keamogetswe Buys (30) — were traveling from Bloemfontein to their deployment area in Limpopo in a white Volkswagen Polo sedan when they vanished. Their last known location was at an Engen fuel station near the Grasmere toll plaza on the N1 highway.
Since Wednesday, both their vehicle tracking device and mobile phones have been switched off. The constables were off duty at the time and never arrived at their intended destination. Authorities have urged anyone with information to contact the police.
Investigators are treating the case as a possible hijacking and kidnapping.
