Media Statement KAGISANONG – A bottle store owner and two others were arrested after they were caught red handed busy slaughtering sheep in the backroom of the bottle store. On 29 March 2025, at approximately 16:00, members of the Kagisanong Crime Prevention Unit acted on intelligence led information received regarding the illegal slaughtering of sheep at a bottle store in Rocklands. Upon arrival at the premises, officers discovered two males, aged 54 and 40, actively engaged in slaughtering sheep at the back of the bottle store. Both individuals were immediately apprehended. Furthermore, the 43-year-old owner of the bottle store was also arrested for possession of suspected stolen livestock. The origin of the livestock is currently under investigation. The three arrested individuals are scheduled to appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 31 March 2025. Ends
