The Provincial Serious and Violent Crime Investigation Unit in the Eastern Cape (EC) is looking for a suspect, Lwambeso Dyantyi (28), who is allegedly involved in two counts of murder and attempted murder.
This follows an incident that occurred in Zwelitsha in EC on 27 July 2023, where the suspect allegedly shot and killed his cousin and a neighbour, while another victim was injured during the incident.
The suspect was never arrested as he is believed to have fled to different areas.
Police investigations were conducted to trace the suspect with no success. The investigating officer applied for a warrant of arrest, which was later issued.
Police are appealing to anyone who can assist in solving this case by sharing the whereabouts of Lwambeso Dyantyi with the Provincial Serious and Violent Crime Investigation Unit’s Detective Constable Omphemetse Moepeng on 060 594 1699, or by contacting the SAPS #CrimeStop number on 08600 10111, or reporting to the nearest police station.
