Parliament urges police to speed up investigations

The arrest of the 52-year-old suspect and two workers adopted a legal criticism laid by the Eastern Cape Liquor Board (ECLB) at Scenery Park Police Station for contravention of the Liquor Act.

The ECLB laid the legal criticism towards the tavern proprietor for allegedly promoting alcohol to minors.

The two tavern workers have been every fined R2,000, whereas a summons was served to the proprietor for his instant arrest and look in courtroom on 19 August 2022.
