The management of Parkweg Police Station in Bloemfontein Commander Brigadier Teboho Jacobs, Visible Policing Commander Colonel Andiswa Myeki, Detective Branch Commander Lieutenant Colonel Maphoka Mabofe, Commercial Crimes Group Commander Captain Jean Marais together with Corporate Communication and Liaison Component paid Central Media Group [OFM & Bloem courant] a visit. 

According to the Free State Policespokesperson Brigadier Motantsi Makhele the objective of the visit was to conduct crime awareness campaign and public education on most prevalent crimes in Parkweg Police Station precinct.

The following crime topics/ issues/ tips were discussed;

Common robberies and Assaults [common and GBH] mostly occur in Harvey Road/ Hanger Street, to an extent in other CBD streets; Ella Street and 2nd Avenue.

Theft of/ out of/ from motor vehicle;

Burglaries [Businesses and Residential];

Bullying and extortion;

Cyber-Fraud and

Gender-Based Violence and Femicide.
