Pirates snap up Milford’s Sigomoshe as they solve right back issue

Orlando Pirates have signed Bulelani Sigomoshe from Milford FC — a 26-year-old right-back with immediate effect.

The Buccaneers confirmed the deal in a club statement, saying they are “pleased to announce the signing of Bulelani Sigomoshe from Milford Football Club.”

Pirates say the defender will add “further depth and competition to the Club’s defensive options” as they keep stacking the squad for a push on all fronts.

“Sigomoshe’s acquisition forms part of the Club’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the playing squad as the Buccaneers continue to pursue their objectives across all competitions,” read the statement.

No waiting around. The new recruit “will link up with the technical team and his new teammates immediately as he begins the next chapter of his career in the famous black and white.”

Pirates closed the announcement with a welcome: “Orlando Pirates welcomes Bulelani to the Buccaneers family and wishes him every success at the Club.”

Sigomoshe will compete with Kamogelo Sebelebele for the right back position. Sebelebele was left as the only option in the position after the release of Bandile Shandu, Thabiso Lebitso and Deano Van Rooyen.
