Media Statement KIMBERLEY – Operation Vala Umgodi disruptive actions continue to be relentless in squeezing all criminal activities. This was evident when the teams of Operation Vala Umgodi in the Frances Baard District, comprising of SAPS, and SANDF, were conducting routine disruptive actions in the Beefmaster informal settlement in Kimberley on Friday, 4 October 2024. The team noticed a group of people gathered at one of the houses. Upon further investigation they found that this particular house was operating as a shebeen. The 60-year-old female owner was issued with a fine and warned not to sell alcohol without a relevant permit. A significant amount of homemade beer and an assortment of alcohol was confiscated. Operation Vala Umgodi remains steadfast in clamping down on crime in the province. Ends
