dia Statement DE AAR- The Northern Cape Deputy Provincial Commissioner for Corporate Services, Major General Thabo Mphuthi, accompanied by the Deputy Provincial Commissioner for Crime Detection and Acting Deputy Provincial Commissioner for Policing, Major General Luntu Ngubelanga and the Pixley Ka Seme District Commissioner, Major General Nomana Mtukushe awarded members for loyal and dedicated service during a medal parade for recipients in the Pixley ka Seme District in De Aar on Thursday, 21 November 2024. This prestigious event was held at the DOD Ammunition Depot Army Base in De Aar under the command of the Acting Officer Commanding, Lt Col Mfenyene. 94 Officers and members who displayed an irreproachable and exemplary conduct were awarded medals for 30 years, 20 years, and 10 years of loyal and dedicated service. In her address, Major General Mphuthi acknowledged the bravery and sacrifices made by recipients to ensure that a professional service is delivered to our communities. She affirmed that the men and women in blue face danger and risk their lives on a daily basis to ensure the safety and security of all citizens. She thanked the families of the recipients for their encouragement and support to enable members to protect and serve.
In the vote of thanks delivered by Major General Luntu Ngubelanga, he urged members to go the extra mile during the festive season and to squeeze the space for criminals to operate.
