The North West Media Awards 2025 hosted a high-impact ceremony recognising outstanding contributions in journalism, broadcasting, communication and digital media. Supported by the North-West University (NWU), the event honoured professionals and platforms who continue to shape and elevate the media landscape.

A key announcement of the evening:

“Thirty percent of the government advertising budget is now legally designated for community media.”

The event’s founder Ananias Ndlovu thanked North-West University for its continued support. NWU reaffirmed its dedication to uplifting and empowering media professionals.
