Media Statement PARKTOWN – Gauteng Police conducted a counterfeit goods operation, seized 869 illicit and counterfeit goods worth R1, 795 000-00. On Wednesday, 13 November 2024, the Gauteng Visible Policing Team, dealing with counterfeit and illicit goods together with brand protectors, conducted an operation in Randburg, Johannesburg District. Three suspects were arrested for dealing with counterfeit and illicit goods. The police seized a total of 896 illicit and counterfeit goods including illicit clothing, shoes, watches, cellphone accessories valued at R1, 795 000-00. The arrested suspects will appear before the Magistrate’s Court soon.
