“I was just happy to come, to be mentored and to learn from the best. Here I am today and I’m learning and I’m happy about that,” Msimango added.

“The senior players have played a massive role in my induction in the club. They have shown me the ropes. The likes of Itu [Khune], Keagan [Dolly] even Brandon Petersen, you know Bruce [Bvuma] as well, I consider him as a senior member in the club,” the 26-year-old added.

CHIEFS LEGEND ERICK MATHOHO JOINING THE ROOKIES?
In other news, Chiefs legend Erick Mathoho is expected to wear a different colour jersey next season – and it will look a little odd.
Mathoho looks set to be moving back home to Limpopo next season, where he will be wearing orange.
As reported in June, Amakhosi bid farewell to the 33-year-old after 11 years and 267 games, which included two DStv Premiership titles.
The question that followed was about his next destination.
After training with SuperSport United last week, the Thahayandou-born defender, who began his career at Bloemfontein Celtic, is reportedly close to signing for PSL newcomers Polokwane City.
“He left SuperSport United because they never made any offer. So he’s not with the team in Durban for pre-season,” a source told FARPost.
“Polokwane City are talking to him with the view of signing him. They’re not looking at assessing him, they just want to sign him,” the source added.
