One of South Africa’s most beloved kwaito legends shall be honoured on the seventh annual Mzansi Kwaito and House Music Awards set to happen on 26 November. According to Daily Sun, Bonginkosi Dlamini, popularly generally known as Zola 7, will receive a special award on the ceremony for his contribution to the business.
The rapper and kwaito star has had a rocky yr. In March, Zola 7 made headlines after a video of him wanting frail went viral and followers flocked collectively to donate cash to the diabetic star.

SEVENTH ANNUAL MZANSI KWAITO AND HOUSE MUSIC AWARDS
The Mzansi Kwaito and House Music Awards recognise artists who’ve contributed tremendously to the kwaito and home genres in South Africa.
In 2021, the likes of Mampintsha, DJ Cleo, and Trompies had been amongst those that had been nominated.
The nominees for the Mzansi Kwaito and House Music Awards had been introduced at a ceremony on 16 June on the Soweto Theatre in Gauteng. The ceremony was hosted by poet Ntsiki Mazwai and radio presenter Azola Mlota.
Speaking to Daily Sun, Mzansi Kwaito House Awards CEO Perfecta Malinga mentioned this yr the awards acquired a record-breaking variety of entries.
“This event came at the right time when everybody, especially in the music industry needed something to lift their spirits after the lockdown and the losses we suffered as the creative arts industry,” mentioned Malinga.
