POLOKWANE – The Police at Muswodi in Vhembe District have launched a manhunt for suspects who committed house robbery on Sunday, 16 June 2024, at Tshipale Village at around 20:00. According to information, the victim was at his home with his family already about to sleep when two unknown males came and alleged that they were sent to bring money. Suddenly, the suspects kicked the door and pulled out a firearm and a knife. They allegedly demanded money and randomly fired several shots inside the house. They subsequently robbed them of an undisclosed amount of money, cellphones, and other items. They tied everyone and took them to their local Headman’s kraal. Upon arrival, they broke the door and gained entry. They then instructed the victims to search the house and did not find any money. The male victim, whilst there, noticed that he was shot at his lower body. The suspects then fled the scene on foot. The Police were informed about the incident and opened a cases of house robbery, malicious damage to property, and attempted murder. A manhunt for the suspects was immediately activated.
