POLOKWANE – A 35-year-old suspect will appear before Senwabarwana Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 04 June 2024, on charges of murder. Police have arrested a 35-year-old male suspect, in connection with the murder of a 31-year-old man at Ga Kobe village, Senwabarwana policing area, on Saturday 01 June 2024 at about 19:00. Reportedly, the police received a complaint about a male lying on the soccer field. Upon arrival at the scene, they found the victim lying in a pool of blood with stab wounds on his upper body, facing east, wearing a brown long trouser, a red T-shirt, and a grey long sleeve jacket. A preliminary investigation revealed that, the victim was at one of the liquor outlets at Ga Kobe when he disagreed with the suspect, which resulted in a physical confrontation in the yard, after which the victim fled. He was found lying on the soccer field by a passerby, who informed community members and the police. The Emergency Medical Personnel Services were summoned to the scene, and they certified the victim dead at the scene. The motive behind the incident is unknown at this stage. The victim was identified as Sello Moremi (31) residing at GA Kobe village. The suspect was arrested on Sunday 02 June 2024 at Ga Kobe village and will appear before Senwabarwana Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday 04 June 2023 on charges of murder.
