GQEBERHA – SAPS Kamesh detectives arrested a 32-year-old suspect on charges of murder after he handed himself at the Community Service Centre (CSC) after a stabbing incident that occurred on Tuesday 24 December 2024. It is alleged that at approximately 04:10, on the abovementioned date, the deceased Akhona Yantolo (23) was at home in F Road, Kabah, Kamesh drinking with his girlfriend and the suspect. The deceased and the suspect got into an argument with each other, and during the argument, they started stabbing each other. The deceased ran away towards his mother’s house, where he collapsed and died due to his injuries. The suspect ran away, but later during the day, he reported at SAPS Kamesh and handed himself over. The suspect will appear in the Kariega Magistrate court today, Friday 27 December 2024 on a charge of murder. Ends
